Hi - where in Toronto is this screening after the May 15th national release?

Dear friends: I was not in Victoria during the film festival so was unable to view 'Fierce Light". I wonder how one goes about staging a showing of a film? In addition to waiting for it to come out in DVD and have house showings, is it possible to rent a theatre? maybe the old Vic theatre which closed down this year would be available (long shot) or whatever - does anyone know how we could do this? Ideally, we would have a place where films - especially documentaries were shown...Enough with the distracting nonsense. Thank you for your work and art.

My wife and I just came from the screening of your film Fierce light at the VIU in Nanaimo, BC. I woke up spritually about 35 years ago and politically about 7 years ago. I truly appreciate your message on the need to integrate these two aspects of one's self. I have done most of the work, haven't yet gotten to the activist part of though. Becoming politically aware is like being told you have a terminal disease it seems, you go through the denial phase, the rejection phase, the angry phase until finally you arrive at the acceptance phase of it's reality. Your film Fierce Light is important as it walks one through these phases and reflects the need for full integration of mind, heart and soul. The thoughts you project sounds like they came right out of Seth's Nature of Personal Reality book.

I admired your commitment of capturing spiritual truth while we supported Thich Nhat Hanh and the sangha together in Vietnam last year during the retreats and ceremonies to heal the wounds of war. The collage of actions of the heart taken across the world make a compelling case for being the change we seek, collectively. That we are one.

I had the opportunity to see Fierce Light at VIFF. I was so grateful to see this theme of spirituality and activism make its way to film. I was very happy to see Vecrow Ripper there and clearly answering questions from the audience.
I have been involved with the Sufis for 30 years and I only recently witnessed the social/political stirrings beginning to appear. Personal spiritual attainment becomes a shallow desire when the world is on a potentially catastrophic course for most of humanity. How can a human being have any deep or lasting inner peace when the brothers and sisters of this world are in distress?
The film is an affirming documentary of what we are intending to accomplish with Project Somos (www.projectsomos.org) - establishing a eco-sustainable village in Guatemala for orphaned and abandoned kids. To give children a chance to develop creative intelligence and awakened compassion to grow into functioning and loving adults. Awakened spiritual faculties need to be applied to the challenges of our day for the betterment of all life on this planet.
I have blogged on our website about the film and it is my hope that many spiritual seekers see the movie and realize the immediacy of the need for activism. The film clearly makes visible the link and necessity for spirituality in activism.

Hi! I saw Fierce Light in Vancouver, and can't wait until the film is in theatres and then on DVD. I'd like to have a house party with all my friends. Everyone in the activist community and anyone on a spiritual path should see this movie.
I sprang from my seat and wanted to take action. I hope this site becomes a hub for people to connect and share what they are up to in the world, and the difference they are making.
